MilitaryRecords.us.org Is Looking To Hire Veterans For Their Customer Service Staff

MilitaryRecords.us.org is looking to hire veterans to fill job openings in their call center and IT support staff, company officials said yesterday.
"When veterans come home from war or leave the armed services, the first thing they want is to find a job," a company representative said. "But that can be hard in this economy, so we want to do what we can to help them out."
The move could also prove helpful to the customers the company serves, the representative said. People use their search service to find information about the military records and experience of active duty and former personnel.
"Many of our customers are veterans, and fellow veterans are going to understand their questions and concerns more so than civilians," the representative said. "Beyond that, much of the information in the records is in military jargon, which can be difficult for the average person to understand. A veteran can translate that jargon into plain English."
The company has openings in both their IT staff - which builds and maintains their records database - and their customer service staff, which responds to questions on the phone, the company said.
"Many veterans have exactly the skill set we are looking for," the representative said. "So, we really want to see if we can put them to work, now that they have served their country well."
