Today, MetLife Global Technology (News - Alert) and Operations officially celebrated the opening of its newly redesigned office in Clarks Summit, featuring state-of-the-art technology and a work environment designed to foster collaboration. The renovations demonstrate MetLife's ongoing investment in technology, and its commitment to attracting and retaining top talent in the Scranton-area community. MetLife donated more than $50K to four different Scranton-area community groups today. The redesigned Clarks Summit building, located at 1028 Morgan Highway, features:


  • environmentally sustainable design targeting the highest LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) certification
  • employee amenities such as idea walls for collaboration, three treadmill-equipped work stations, a full-service cafeteria, fitness center, "MetLife Club" areas for informal meet-ups and adaptable conference rooms with global video teleconferencing capabilities
  • a series of digital print works by Tom Everhart, the only fine artist authorized by Charles Schulz to reinterpret subject matter from the Peanuts comics

As part of the grand reopening celebration today, MetLife donated more than $50,000 to local community organizations including the United Way, the American Heart Association, the Chinchilla Fire Company and the Clarks Summit Fire Company.
