Mayor Gillum Proclaims Jan. 21-27 "Tallahassee School Choice Week"; Joins Leaders Nationwide in Celebrating Opportunity in EducationMayor Gillum has officially proclaimed Jan. 21-27 as School Choice Week in Tallahassee, joining hundreds of other city and county leaders nationwide, plus dozens of governors, in issuing proclamations for School Choice Week. The Tallahassee area will feature about 120 School Choice Week events and activities, part of the 3,800 in Florida and 32,000 across the country. The rallies, coffeehouse meetups, festivals, school fairs, roundtable discussions, and receptions will raise awareness of educational opportunity and spark conversations about the educational options parents have, or want to have, for their children.
