Masshouse partners to sponsor children's charity ball

(The Birmingham Post Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) The joint venture partnership behind the pounds 350 million mixed-use Masshouse scheme at Eastside is sponsoring the annual NSPCC Gala Ball for the second consecutive year.

Masshouse Development Limited is supporting the ball at the ICC on January 27th and will once again be organised by the NSPCC Birmingham Business Group, which comprises volunteers from companies across the city.

The first Gala Ball, held earlier this year, was an unprecedented success and raised more than pounds 35,000 for the charity that has five teams based in the West Midlands offering specialist help to children and families.

Director Nick Payne of Masshouse Developments Limited said: "I firmly believe that there is a need for businesses to make a social contribution to the communities in which they have a presence, and to build relationships serving a real purpose and which deliver tangible community benefits. "Masshouse Developments Limited upholds these values and is committed to investing in Birmingham. The NSPCC represents an extremely worthy cause and, having supported the Gala Ball which took place in January 2006, we have confirmed our involvement as sponsors once again and look forward to continuing our association with the charity."

Masshouse, a joint venture partnership between David McLean, Nikal and Royal Bank of Scotland, will effectively link Colmore Circus and Moor Street. Janine Miller, corporate fundraising manager for NSPCC Birmingham, said: "The success of our fundraising programme is dependent on the level of financial backing and practical assistance we receive from the regional business community.

That Masshouse Developments Limited has stepped forward as sponsors of the Gala Ball for the second year running is a testament to the relationship we have formed with the joint venture partnership and its ongoing engagement with Birmingham."
