Make-A-Wish North Texas Announces President and Mrs. George W. Bush as Honorary Chairs for 19th Annual Wish Night® Gala

Make-A-Wish® North Texas is honored to announce President and Mrs. George W. Bush as Honorary Chairs for its 19th Annual Wish Night® gala, which helps the organization grant hundreds of wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions each year. This year's event is presented by Helzberg Diamonds® and will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at the Hilton Anatole Hotel.

"Make-A-Wish North Texas is privileged to have the support of previous wish granter, President and Mrs. George W. Bush, for this year's annual Wish Night," said Make-A-Wish North Texas President and CEO, Scotty Landry. "Not only is this an incredible honor for our organization, but a once in a lifetime and truly magical experience for our wish kids, as well as their families."

Since the first Wish Night event in 1997, Make-A-Wish North Texas has raised more than $12.48 million and granted over 1,675 wishes for local children. In fact, 2014 held a record-breaking event, raising more than $1.48 million.

Prior to joining Make-A-Wish North Texas' Wish Night as Honorary Chairs, President and Mrs. George W. Bush granted two wishes: first in May of 2010, to a then 11-year-old wish kid Jared from Florida who had been diagnosed with a brain tumor, and then again in May of 2011 to a then 13-year-old wish kid Logan from Ohio, who had been living with Acute Renal Disease.
