Maginus Software Solutions: Maginus appoints Mark Thornton as Director
of e-Commerce

Manchester -- Maginus, a leading provider of IT solutions for
multi-channel retail and distribution companies, has announced the
appointment of Mark Thornton as Director of e-Commerce. Mark has over
20 years' experience in the software industry including roles in
Software Development, Implementation Consulting, Account Management,
New Business Sales, Product Management and General Management. As
Director of e-Commerce, Mark will grow of the company's recently
launched e-commerce solution, Maginus Storefront, which offers
customers greater e-commerce flexibility and functionality than ever
before. He will advise on all areas of e-commerce development,
including usability, search engine optimisation, affiliate marketing
and back office integration.

Mark joins Maginus from Visibility Corporation, a US-based ERP company,
where he was Managing Director of their European subsidiary. During his
nine years at the company, he played a leading role in reengineering
and then growing the business. He joined Visibility as a new business
sales executive and, in an extremely competitive market, consistently
achieved business targets. Mark also secured some major international
company wins, including FKI plc. He went on to help organically grow
the business by introducing new product lines - most notably a Business
Intelligence division based around the Microsoft BI toolset. In 2005
Mark was appointed MD.
Before joining Visibility, Mark gained experience working for Mentec
International, where he spent five years as a Customer Services Manager
before moving into an account management role and ultimately into new
business sales.
Mark began his career at Barclays Bank computer centre in Wythenshawe
in a software development role.
