magicJack Hot Shots Win World Youth Soccer Championship
GOTHENBURG, Sweden & WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. --(Business Wire)-- Today, the magicJack Hot Shots, a team of 14 talented 10-to-12-year-old girl soccer players from Southern Florida, went undefeated in the largest youth soccer event in the world, the Gothia World Cup in Sweden (http://www.gothiacup.se/eng/). Playing seven games throughout the week, the Hot Shots secured the world champion title today in a 2-0 victory.
magicJack founder and Hot Shot's coach and sponsor Dan Borislow said this of the win: "In addition to talent, it takes a lot of hard work and determination to win a championship. I am so proud of the team and my daughter Kylie Borislow. They overcame their opponents with heart and speed." Kylie, who appears on www.magicJack.com with her dogs Magic and Jack, is the team's center midfielder. She celebrates the win with Coaches Jayson Chung and Roberto Bollella and her fellow teammates. The Hot Shots championship team includes Katelynne Bollella, Kylie Borislow, Sabrina Chung, Dominique Henry Cole, Donish Henry Cole, Hannah Coy, Nadira Davis, Ryanne Dietrich, Alana Grnja, Caitlin Kader, Shari Silver, Jordyn Smith, Alexandria Taylor and Khara Vassell.
The Gothia World Cup is the largest and most prestigious international youth soccer tournament with over 55,000 youths in attendance this year. The magicJack Hot Shots competed with 44 teams in their age division with players representing 176 countries. Last Thanksgiving, the Hot Shots won the Disney Showcase Tournament and plan to do the same at the upcoming Atlanta Cup over Labor Day weekend.
