Location Found: New Employees, New Offices. Carbyne Unveils the Future.NEW YORK, May 23, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Carbyne, exclusive U.S. distributors of Reporty technologies, announced several new employees today as well as the unveiling of their new offices in New York City. Carbyne welcomed into their ranks a new employee, Rick Freedman, a former Vice President of Sales at Hexagon Safety and Infrastructure. "I'm truly excited to join the Carbyne team," Freedman said. "After the past several years working within sales for public safety and healthcare, I'm looking forward to meeting with clients and showing them just how unique and life-saving the Reporty ecosystem is." Carbyne also announced that Chris Fischer, a Carbyne board member and member of Presidential Partners, would be coming aboard to help shape a curriculum aimed at transitioning Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) to accept video streaming calls. "Having worked with Carbyne for the past several months on their board," Fischer said, "I can't think o a better role for me than with the team that is going to revolutionize the public safety industry." Fischer joins the Carbyne team having been a past president of APCO, and having spent most of her adult life working within the public safety communications industry as a dispatcher, PSAP supervisor, the Executive Director of a consolidated regional PSAP, and a variety of other roles in public safety communications. She currently chairs the APCO Project 43 workgroup on impacts to the workforce of NG 9-1-1 enabled PSAPs. "The close relationship that we had with Chris over the course of this past year taught us that she not only understands dispatchers but also the role this technology is going to play in making their jobs easier," Elyashiv said. "There's going to be a certain 'culture shock' that comes with a new technology such as video streaming to 9-1-1 and the entire public safety community needs to prepare for that." "It's all about education," Fischer agreed. "Many of these telecommunicators have used video calling in their private lives but it's going to be shift to using it every day in their work life. It's why I wanted to work with Carbyne, they actually care about the telecommunicators and making sure that they're properly prepared for video and other NG 9-1-1 functionality." From their new offices on W 30th St., Elyashiv spoke excitedly about the space that they had just moved into. "From here, we are beginning the journey of bringing Reporty to the United States. These new offices not only allow us to expand our team, which we are doing at a blistering pace, but we're going to have our state-of-the-art demo station available to those counties, cities, and institutions that want to see the future of public safety and event reporting." Carbyne also announced their upcoming appearance at the NENA Conference in San Antonio in June as well as at APCO 2017 in Denver in August.
