Liquidware Labs Announces Key Channel Program Enhancements at VMware Partner Exchange 2012 in Las Vegas
CHICAGO & LAS VEGAS --(Business Wire)--
Liquidware
Labs, the leader in desktop transformation lifecycle solutions,
today announced two new programs designed to better equip its channel
partners with the knowledge and tools needed to take customers
efficiently to next-generation desktop environments. The newly launched
Knowledge Series is a library of educational videos that progressively
articulate the major considerations of a desktop virtualization project,
from POC to production and beyond. Liquidware Labs partners will benefit
from the real-world practical focus on subjects that include state- of-
the -market, typical project challenges, use cases in Windows 7
migrations application and user virtualization, desktop infrastructure
optimization, as well as sneak peeks at upcoming technologies.
The AutoPilot™ PSO License Kit formalizes a structured license-use
approach of assess, design, migrate and validate. The Kit allows
partners to fast-track a proof-of-concept (POC) by identifying a group
of appropriate virtual desktop candidates at a customer site, designing
the correct image strategy and infrastructure for their needs, migrating
users to the prototyped platform and validating that the VDI structure
meets or exceeds the physical desktop performance. The kit includes 500 Stratusphere
FIT licenses, 100
ProfileUnity licenses, and 100 Stratusphere
UX licenses.
The AutoPilot PSO License Kit enables partners to:
-
Automate and greatly shorten the process of data gathering
-
Rely on extremely accurate, highly granular data derived from the
customer's crrent physical desktops to prevent guesswork and mistakes
that can stall projects
-
Rapidly prototype image, host and storage designs based on real-world
data
-
Quickly migrate select users to new platform; leverage a shared
stateless image strategy
-
Prove the efficacy of the virtual environment to support users on par
with physical systems
"We work with large companies every day, including top-tier state
agencies, and they understand that the desktops and devices their users
work on today are going to change. The scope of that change can be
daunting," said Todd Knapp, CEO of Envision Technologies, a long-time
Liquidware Labs partner. "However, when we approach these projects armed
with the Liquidware Labs suite of solutions, we can pragmatically walk
through each phase and attack point issues to gain clarity. The
AutoPilot™ offering is a logical and much needed from Liquidware Labs,
which fast-tracks this process. By applying AutoPilot, projects can be
right sized, appropriate users are brought into scope, and correct
platforms and technologies are chosen. Pilots mirror real world
production environments with performance that can meet or exceed the
goals customers stated were important."
"We launched Knowledge Series and Auto-Pilot programs to further supply
our partners with the knowledge and tools they need to move through VDI
projects rapidly, yet with consistent, predictable results," said Tyler
Rohrer, co-founder of Liquidware Labs. "We want our partners to tackle
complex desktop virtualization projects with confidence knowing they can
rely on Liquidware Labs methodology and solutions to get to successful
outcomes every time."
Liquidware Labs value to partners can be encapsulated in three main
areas.
First, with a desktop transformation methodology and integrated
solutions from a single vendor, partners can help speed the adoption and
acceptance of desktop virtualization. They can close POCs/pilots faster
and engage with more customers. The second focus is "user
virtualization." With ProfileUnity™
, Liquidware Labs helps partners reduce overall costs, with an
affordable, award-winning, easy-to-use offering that allows clients to
leverage a shared-image strategy to lower storage expense. Also, by
virtualizing the user, the company can support easier management and
desktop DR. Lastly, the third area focuses on validation and assurance
of user experience. Partners are able to resolve many of the issues that
arise in growing production environments, with VDI health checks,
diagnostics and optimization that yield better ROI on virtual desktop
projects,
"We are committed to providing our partners with the support and
guidance they need to drive successful virtualization and PC upgrade
projects," said Rohrer. "We will continue to create quality value-add
programs such as the Knowledge Series and AutoPilot programs to ensure
our partners are equipped to capitalize on their opportunities."
