Leading Parking Industry Trade Group National Parking Association Names Mark Muglich Chairman of the Board


(Targeted News Service Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) WASHINGTON, Oct. 21 -- The National Parking Association issued the following news release: The National Parking Association (http://www.npapark.org/) (NPA) has elected Mark Muglich, president of ABM Parking Services, as chairman of the board of directors. Muglich takes office for a two-year term effective Oct. 21, 2014.



Muglich and the board will set the vision, advocacy agenda and professional development framework of the Association. During Muglich's tenure NPA will focus on parking professionalism, certification and performance skill building, and the importance of mentoring and developing talent and leaders in the parking industry.

Muglich will continue NPA's focus on industry efforts to elevate business, community, industry and government outreach around the economic and policy issues facing the parking industry today.


Muglich has over thirty-five years' of experience managing every type of parking operation and facility in the industry. He joined ABM Parking Services (formerly Ampco System Parking) in 1973 as a Parking Facility Manager. He was successively promoted to City, Division, Regional Manager, Regional Vice President, Senior Vice President and President. His many years of experience comprise management and consulting in a full range of parking applications including office buildings, airports, hotels, banks and financial institutions, hospitals, mixed-use projects, medical buildings, retail, municipalities, special events, and restaurants.

"It's truly an honor to have been elected as NPA's board chair," said Muglich. "Over the years, I've come to know and admire many of my industry colleagues affiliated with NPA, along with the NPA's national board leaders and committee chairs, and I look forward to the challenge of continuing the NPA's important job of bringing best practices to the parking industry." Muglich continued, "Over the course of the next two years, the NPA will continue to strengthen its role in the industry for both private and public sector parking through advocacy, education, technology and building member value." Muglich has held national Board of Directors roles since 2006. Most recently, he served on the Executive Committee as chair-elect and has been a member of NPA for more than 20 years.

Muglich adds, "On behalf of the NPA Board, I'd like to extend deep gratitude to Jeff Wolfe, immediate past chairman for his leadership and focus on the importance of technology adoption, professional training and a focus on key drivers of parking industry effectiveness during his tenure." Wolfe, President of The Car Park, Boise, Id. moves from chairman to immediate past chairman.
