Lancaster New Era, Pa., business people column

(Lancaster New Era (PA) (KRT) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Jul. 23--DR. FREDERICK B. ROGERS has been appointed the trauma program medical director of the Lancaster General Trauma Center.

Rogers is a graduate of the Vermont College of Medicine and the University of Illinois at Chicago. He served his general surgery residency at the Chicago institution and did his fellowship in trauma at Cook County Hospital in Chicago.

His most recent post was as vice chairman of surgery and chief of the Division of Trauma/Critical Care at the Fletcher Allen Health Care System's Level I Trauma Center in Burlington, Vt., an affiliate of the University of Vermont School of Medicine.



Rogers is certified by the American Board of Surgery, American Board of Surgery Surgical Critical Care.

B.R. Kreider & Son has hired Jeff Mazzei as vice president of sales and marketing and Tony Matt as controller.



Mazzei, of Carlisle, most recently was division manager at Delaware Valley Packaging Group. He is a Delaware Valley College graduate.

Matt, of Lititz, most recently was chief financial officer at McMinn's Asphalt Co. The certified public accountant is a graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School and Millersville University.

THE CONESTOGA CHAPTER OF THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF ADMINISTRATIVE PROFESSIONALS has elected four officers.

They are president, Tammy Coleman of Sterling Financial; vice president, Barbara Tollinger of Normandeau Associates; treasurer, Nancy George of Burle Industries; recording and corresponding secretary, Marilyn Sides of Mennonite Home Communities.

Junior Achievement of Central Pennsylvania has named its officers and directors for the 2008-09 year.

Officers are chairman, Frank Christoffel III of Lancaster County Association of Realtors; secretary, Richard White of Prudential Homesale Services Group; treasurer, Kurt Trimarchi of McKonly & Asbury; assistant treasurer, Doug Springer of Burnham Holdings; and managing director, James Schmucker of Greystone Enterprises.

Newly elected to the board are Kristina Jacoby of Hershey Entertainment & Resorts Co., Steve Schulz of Business 2 Business, Tom Strickler of Sacunas and Jack Willoughby of Murphy McCormack Business Group.

SELECT SECURITY has hired Don Flory as operations manager.

Flory, of Elizabethtown, spent the past three years at Keystone Custom Homes as supply chain manager. He is a Penn State University graduate.

The law office of James R. Clark has hired Rebecca A. Lyttle as an associate attorney to run its litigation department, concentrating on insurance reimbursements and civil rights.

Lyttle, of Lancaster, previously worked as an associate attorney at Harmon & Davies. She is a graduate of Millersville University and Widener University School of Law.

CERTIFICATION: Christopher J. Bittner has earned the construction health and safety technician designation from the Council on Certification of Health, Environmental and Safety Technologists. Bittner, of Birdsboro, is a safety and health technician for High Safety Consulting Services Ltd.
