Apr 03, 2011 (La Crosse Tribune - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Tyson and Julia Koput of Tomah have opened their second Justa Pizza Place, in the former Uptown Pizzeria location in Shelby Mall in La Crosse.

The Koputs bought the Shelby Mall pizza business from Ryan Walters and converted it to Justa Pizza Place effective Feb. 22. Their independent restaurants sell both baked pizzas and unbaked pizzas that customers can take home to bake. The La Crosse location seats about 12 people.


A grand opening celebration will be Monday through April 10 with promotions at both the La Crosse and Tomah restaurants. The Tomah restaurant opened in August 2009. The Koputs also own the Ground Round Grill & Bar in Tomah. "We hope to open a few more Justa Pizza Place locations" in the area, Tyson Koput said.

Hours at the new La Crosse location are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday. Delivery is available on the South Side of La Crosse, as far north as the downtown and campus areas. The restaurant's telephone number is (608) 796-2600, and its website is www.justapizzaplace.com.


Angie Cavaiuolo will open Handmade Natural Beauty Boutique sometime this week at 113 Fifth Ave. S., just north of Los Tres Compadres restaurant in downtown La Crosse. Its grand opening will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday.

The store's regular hours will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Hand-made's telephone number is (608) 782-SOAP (7627), and its cellphone number is (608) 317-1375.

The shop mainly features Cavaiuolo's Handmade Natural Beauty line of bath and body products, such as soaps, lotions and lip balms, which she makes with natural ingredients. NBC's "Today" show recently showed one of her glycerin soaps in a segment on dry skin.

Cavaiuolo also will sell jewelry and decorated glassware that she creates. She started her business in 2001 and will continue to sell at arts and craft shows, to wholesale customers and through independent consultants.

Her website is www. naturalbeautysoaps.net. The Fifth Avenue location also will serve as office space for Cavaiuolo's graphic and web design business, Direct Design Solutions.

Brand Floors, LLC moved its showroom and offices in the past few weeks from West Salem to 1009 Riders Club Road in Onalaska, just north of Menards.

"We're a full-service flooring store," said Kevin Schumacher, who owns the business with Neal McGough. It sells and offers installation for carpet, luxury vinyl, tile, hardwood, cork and laminate flooring. Custom cabinets are available on request, Schumacher said.

Labor Ready Inc.'s La Crosse branch office moved effective March 15 to the former Freddie's Market building at 1107 Liberty St. on the city's North Side. It moved there from 2615 George St., where the local office began in 1998.

Labor Ready is based in Tacoma, Wash., and has more than 600 locations nationwide, La Crosse branch manager Stephen Ulbrich said. It describes itself as a leading source of dependable temporary labor for companies in a variety of industries.

Hours at the new location are 5:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 6 to 9 a.m. Saturday. The office's new telephone number is (608) 782-0452. The company's website is www.laborready.com.

Mike's Wireless has moved from Valley View Mall to the main building at the Bridgeview Plaza shopping center. It's next to the H&R Block office.

Owner Mian "Mike" Ahmad said he started his business in the mall seven years ago. Mike's Wireless sells cellphone accessories, iPod accessories and body jewelry. It also buys and sells used cellphones.

Bahr Electric, LLC at 571 West Ave. N. in West Salem has added more than 900 square feet of office space to accommodate its new Specialty Services Division.

Bahr Electric is a design/build electrical contractor that specializes in commercial and industrial electrical work.The new division offers voice, data, closed-circuit television (CCTV), community antenna television (CATV), fiber optics, access control and phone systems.

Scott Perry joined the company to manage the new division. He has more than 25 years of specialty systems experience. Dahl Electric has a dozen employees and expects to increase that by 30 percent in the next year and by 50 percent in the next three years.
