NAGOYA - Toyota Boshoku Corp., affiliated with Toyota Motor Corp., said Tuesday it has developed an engine filter using fiber from kenaf, a plant it says helps reduce component weight as well as cuts carbon dioxide emissions because of its gas absorption capacity.

OSAKA - Audio equipment makers Onkyo Corp. of Japan and GuoGuang Electric Co. of China plan to set up a company in June in Guangzhou, China, to step up production and sale of speakers and other audio system devices in China, Onkyo said Tuesday.
