KYOCERA Provides the World's Fastest Printing Solutions

KYOTO, Japan --(Business Wire)-- Kyocera Corporation (NYSE:KYO)(TOKYO:6971) the leader in fine ceramics, will for the first time display all of its key digital printing devices capable of the world's fastest print speeds at the IT & Electronics Comprehensive Exhibition CEATEC Japan 2008, held at the Chiba Makuhari Messe from September 30 through October 4.

Kyocera's thermal printhead, inkjet printhead and amorphous silicon photoreceptor drum are all leading digital printing devices, each capable of the world's fastest print speeds in their respective category.

In 1983, Kyocera launched its first thermal printhead for FAX machines. In the last 25 years, Kyocera has opened up new market applications along with continuing to develop products that deliver the world's fastest print speeds. Since first succeeding in mass producing the world's first 108 mm diameter amorphous silicon drum for printers in 1984, Kyocera is proud to say that it continues to hold the number one share of the world market. Also, in April 2008, Kyocera fully emerged in the inkjet market with a new printhead that defies conventional practices by fully corresponding to the high demands of the commercial printing market with reliability, speed and durability. With this development Kyocera is creating new possibilities for inkjet printheads in drop-on-demand printing.

Kyocera will strive to continue to lead the print world while further expanding technology that supports the world's fastest print speeds. Through superior technology Kyocera will continue to contribute to the market with its printing devices.
