Kula Project Hosts Third Annual #FORTHEFARMER CampaignATLANTA, Sept. 1, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- On Thursday, September 24th, Kula Project, a local non-profit investing in coffee farmers helping them to grow and sell really great coffee will host the third annual #FORTHEFARMER campaign with several of Atlanta's top restaurants. Participating restaurant will donate 20 percent of sales from the evening to be invested in coffee farmers in Rwanda. Kula means "a community of heart" in Sanskrit and there is no better way to unite with Kula's cause than at the dinner table. Participating restaurants include: The Optimist, Buttermilk Kitchen, Common Quarter, Table & Main, Foundation Social Eatery, Jake's Ice Cream, Max's Wine Dive, Osteria Mattone, Sweet Auburn Barbecue, and The Nook. "For eleven million people n Rwanda, life starts on the coffee farm. Children attend school and families have food to eat when their coffee farm is successful," stated Kula founder Sarah Buchanan. Kula believes the best way to ensure children in developing nations have access to education is to equip their parents to be able to afford it, so Kula helps them create profitable coffee farms. Over the past two years, they have worked with more than 270 families, helping them plant more 37,000 coffee trees.
