'KPN to launch Simyo in France on 11 January'

KPN will launch its Simyo MVNO in France on 11 January using the
Bouygues Telecom network. The Dutch group launched the Simyo brand in
Spain in January 2008. The MVNO uses a 100 percent online distribution
model and charges EUR 0.19 per minute for calls to all fixed and mobile
networks 24 hours a day. The introduction of Simyo in France is part of
KPN's strategy to deploy different brands in different European
markets. KPN said it planned to introduce other propositions in France


this year by using its own brands and through partnerships.
