Kony Received the Highest Scores in 3 out of 4 Use Cases in New Gartner Report: Critical Capabilities for Mobile Application Development Platforms

Kony, Inc., the leading enterprise mobility company, today announced that it has received the highest scores in three out of four use cases by Gartner (News - Alert) for critical capabilities for business-to-consumer (B2C), business-to-employees (B2E), and business-to-business (B2B) mobile application implementations in the 2014 Gartner Critical Capabilities for Mobile Application Development Platforms report.

Gartner focused "on 15 critical capabilities from 11 vendors to help enterprise IT leaders evaluate these offerings for use cases in B2B, B2E and B2C implementations." Kony scored highest product scores for the following use cases in a five-point scale: B2C Transactional (4.00), B2E Back Office (4.08), B2E Front Office (4.06); and second for B2C Informational (3.94) use cases.

According to Gartner, the Critical Capabilities for Mobile Application Development Platforms research "complements the "Magic Quadrant for Mobile Application Development Platforms," but has a different emphasis. Critical capabilities research emphasizes product features, rather than the strategic qualities of a vendor. A Magic Quadrant is vendor-focused and forward looking (examining the vendor's prospects over the next five years), while critical capabilities looks at how features in the currently shipping product can be applied to important common use cases."
