Knack.io To Host Virtual "Knackathon 2021" during SXSWDALLAS, Dec. 2, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Knack.io, a rapidly growing tech recruitment startup announced today the launch of its very first annual "Knackathon", a virtual hacking competition for aspiring high school and college students interested in learning engineering. "Knack.io is excited to open the doors to students who want to be professional engineers by giving them the chance to actually work with them on challenging projects," says Leroy Ware, CTO of Knack.io. The teams of young and professional engineers, working together, will be judged based on their technical delivery, as well as their dedication to mentorship, inclusio and diversity. Up to $50K in prizes will be awarded, including STEAM and college scholarships, cash, crypto, and electronic hardware. The competition is part of a larger conference with speakers, bootcamps, workshops, networking, and a Hiring Expo where attendees can meet companies with current job openings. Knackathon tickets are available to the public starting on December 2. The event will take place March 15-19, the same week of SXSW and coinciding with spring break for many school districts and colleges. Early Bird pricing for general admission is $99 and students will receive a 50% discount.
