Kimball Electronics Secures Bluetooth Devices Production Deal for Auto OEMs

Kimball Electronics Group, a subsidiary of Kimball International, announced that the company's Jasper, Indiana facility has received a new three-year contract to produce Automotive Bluetooth hands-free radio devices.
These complex high frequency devices wirelessly pair to Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones and provide drivers with clear "hands free" cell phone calls through the vehicle's audio system and are available on a number of global automotive brand vehicle platforms. Annual volume is expected to exceed 500,000 units. Kimball Electronics Group (KEG) is a contract electronic manufacturing services (EMS) company that specializes in durable electronics and produces a diverse range of integrated systems and assemblies for the automotive industry.
The new contract was awarded by an existing customer, a top five North American tier-one automotive supplier, who named Kimball Electronics Group among their primary EMS suppliers. Kimball has received honors from the customer for its proven quality, reliability and cost performance.
Kimball has been manufacturing Bluetooth devices since 2007 at its Jasper, Indiana production facility.
