Key Member of iCore Networks' Leadership Team Recognized for Achievements in Growth, Expansion, and Mentorship

iCore Networks, the nation's largest commercial Voice over Private Internet (VoPI) network and pioneer of cloud-based services, announces today that its Senior Vice President of Sales, Michael Bertamini, has been selected as one of 40 top management all-stars in the Greater Washington area by Washington SmartCEO Magazine's 2013 Executive Management Awards. The 2013 Executive Management Award recognizes chief executives' creative management vision, leadership philosophy, innovative strategy and undeniable work ethic.

Bertamini is a recognized leader in the company's ongoing growth, as well as a dynamic engine of innovation and continued success driving the company forward. Over his seven-year tenure at iCore, Bertamini's sales efforts have generated over $100M in contracted revenue, and he is responsible for increasing the company's overall revenue by a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of more than 30%, while also directing some of the industry's best churn rates at under .05%. He progressed from a Director-level position within Sales, to Vice President, and now to Senior Vice President.

Bertamini's 2012 promotion to Senior Vice President of Sales plays a critical role in iCore's overall strategy to empower the company for future growth and geographic expansion into the Northeast including Philadelphia, New York and Boston. In his new role, Bertamini is adding layers to his department in the form of mid-level sales managers who oversee sales reps and who are trained in his sales methodologies. This successful structure was rolled out and implemented at iCore's first field office in Columbia, MD and has set the standard for how iCore plans to manage sales and accounts in order to enter and expand into new markets in an efficient and streamlined manner.

This year's winners will be recognized in the March issue of Washington SmartCEO Magazine and celebrated at an awards ceremony along with over 350 local C-level guests on March 21, 2013 at the Fillmore Hotel in Silver Spring, MD.
