Katherine Smith Added to Weedmaps as Chief Marketing Officer [Professional Services Close - Up](Professional Services Close - Up Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Weedmaps reported that Katherine Smith has joined the company as Chief Marketing Officer. In a release, the Company noted that Smith will report directly to Weedmaps' CEO and founder Justin Hartfield. "As the marijuana market grows, so is competition," said Hartfield. "With this, it's important that we stay top-of-mind with existing and potential users and clients; and Kat is the perfect person to do it. She has deep experience in digital, social media, video and emerging technologies and has a proven track record of creating and executing award-winning campaigns. We're thrilled to have Kat joining our team." Prior to joining Weedmaps, Smith served as Social Media and Commerce Director for Petco. Prior to that, Smith worked at Microsoft.
