KANA Announces Speaker Lineup for CITIZEN 2013, the Industry's Premier Digital Citizen Engagement and Government Service Event
GLASGOW, SCOTLAND, Mar 19, 2013 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) --
KANA Software, Inc., a global leader in customer service solutions
delivered on-premise or in the cloud and used by more than 900
organizations worldwide, today, including 250 government bodies and
half of the Global 100, announced the speaker lineup for the CITIZEN
2013: Next-Generation Citizen Engagement Conference, June 13 in
London.
Now in its second year, the conference will showcase how citizen
interaction with government is evolving -- how new communication
channels such as social and mobile media are being adopted and what
public bodies must do to embrace them against a backdrop of
continuing austerity measures and the need to generate multi-million
GBP savings. The conference will draw upon the experience of civil
servants, policy makers, bloggers and market watchers to address the
themes of effective channel shift, engaging with the digital citizen,
and achieving cost savings.
Keynote speakers scheduled at CITIZEN 2013 include Martha Lane Fox,
the UK digital champion at the Cabinet Office and chair for the Go On
UK initiative, a coalition of public and private sector partners that
are helping millions of people and organizations online. Other
featured speakers include Stephen Roberts, managing director of
Kable; Elizabeth Linder, politics and government specialist,
Facebook; and Antonio Acuna, head of data.gov.uk at the Cabinet
Office.
David Moody, KANA's head of worldwide product strategy, Public
Sector, will lead a panel addressing "Big Data -So What ", at 10:45
a.m. BST, June 13. Regarded as one of the industry's foremost experts
on public sector CRM, Moody has worked with some of the best known
government agencies to improve citizen engagement and transparency
while addressing cost issues to implement new technologies. In the
panel discussion, Moody will be joined by Hadley Beeman, founder of
LinkedGov and technology policy advisor; and Chris Osborne, expert
advisor in Big Data, to deliberate the opportunities and challenges
of Big Data in Government.
The CITIZEN 2013 Conference takes place June 13 from 9 a.m. to 4:30
p.m. BST in London at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel.
Attendees from the public sector involved in IT or digital
transformation are encouraged to register early for a limited number
