John Frank Addresses the GeoWeb at MetaCarta's 4th Annual Public Sector User Group Meeting

solutions, today announced that it will be hosting its 4th Annual Public Sector User
Group Meeting on October 8th, 2008. The Meeting, which will take place
at the Ritz-Carlton in Tysons Corner, Virginia, welcomes Keynote Speaker
Jeff Vining, Research Vice President at Gartner Research, who will deliver
a talk entitled "Lessons Learned from Virginia Tech: How To Communicate In
A Crisis."

Guests are invited to collaborate with partners and colleagues to learn
about best practices and take away critical knowledge about the latest uses
and trends around open source content and analysis, geospatial
intelligence, geosearch, and information retrieval. Attendees will also
hear about the "GeoWeb" and how MetaCarta exposes intelligence that would
have been impossible to find any other way.

This year's speaker lineup features an outstanding mix of experience,
knowledge, and practical implementation expertise. Dr. Jerry Johnston,
Geospatial Information Officer, Environmental Protection Agency, will
discuss geospatial interoperability in a federal-civilian agency
environment. David Sonnen, Senior Consultant, Spatial Information
Management Research at IDC, will highlight the latest trends in geospatial
technology.

In the afternoon, John Frank, co-founder and CTO at MetaCarta will describe
the evolution of the "GeoWeb" and its impact on the intelligence gathering
process. Terrance Busch, Senior Intelligence Officer, Battlespace
Visualization, Defense Intelligence Agency, will touch upon existing and
emerging enterprise and open source geospatial technologies that improve
situational analysis and information visualization.
