Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group Names Jim Pierce as Chairman, JLT Specialty Insurance Services [Manufacturing Close - Up](Manufacturing Close - Up Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group ("JLT") reported the appointment of Jim Pierce as Chairman of its new U.S. specialty business, JLT Specialty Insurance Services. In its release, JLT said that most recently, Pierce was Chairman of Marsh's Global Industry Practices, a role in which he provided leadership to Marsh's Aviation, Construction, Energy, Infrastructure, Marine, Mining, Power and Rail practices. Previously Pierce worked at JLT USA and is recognized as an expert in the energy insurance sector. JLT noted that Pierce's appointment is subject to the fulfilment of any existing contractual obligations and follows the appointment of Michael Rice as CEO and Patrick Donnelly as President and Deputy CEO of its new U.S. specialty operations, as well as the further important management appointments announced last week.
