I've lost 9st on frog diet

(Daily Record Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge)A MAN who was missing in the Outback for nearly three months told yesterday how he lost nine stones after surviving on frogs, grasshoppers, lizards and snakes.

Rick Megee, 35, was found on a remote cattle farm near the Tanami Desert in Australia's Northern Territory.

He was suffering from severe malnutrition and exposure when he emerged from a crude shelter and stumbled into the arms of startled farm workers.

Megee, from Brisbane, said he was on his way to Port Hedland in Western Australia in January when he became separated from his vehicle and woke up "face down in a hole".

He said he had one meal a day of a variety of wild creatures including "a couple of little baby brown snakes".
