ITT Exelis Awarded Follow-On Order for Continued Support of B-1B Electronic Warfare System
CLIFTON, N.J. --(Business Wire)--
ITT (News - Alert) Exelis (NYSE: XLS) has been awarded a $7.7 million delivery order
under a contract for ongoing maintenance and repair of the B-1B
aircraft's integrated defensive avionics system, the ALQ-161A.
Exelis, the original designer and manufacturer of the ALQ-161A,
has been repairing and maintaining this critical self-defense system,
and this delivery orde extends the company's support. The contract is
with the U.S. Air Force Warner Robins Air Logistics Command, in Warner
Robins, Ga.
"This work is critical to sustaining the nation's strategic capability,"
said Rich Sorelle, vice president and general manager of the Exelis
integrated electronic warfare systems business. "For years, our
maintenance teams have kept this sensitive electronic equipment
performing at its best in temperature and altitude extremes. We remain

Repairs will be led by the Exelis Electronic Systems division in North
Amityville, N.Y.
