(Pakistan Official News Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) September 29, 2014 (PPI-OT) Following is the text of press release issued by Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Quote Mr. Ismail Suttar, Vice President, Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) inaugurated the 1st Training Program on Occupational Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) organized by Engr. Anwar ul Haque Siddiqui, Chairman, FPCCI Standing Committee on Engineering and Research Industrialization (ERI) and CSR-Directorate FPCCI.



Engr. Dr. S. A. Hasan Past President the Institution of Engineers of Pakistan and the Federation of Institutions of Engineers of Islamic Countries. Engr. Zaffar A. Zuberi, Past President the Institution of Engineers Pakistan, Mr. Muhammad Siddique Shaikh, Chief Advisor CSR and Chairman FPCCI Standing Committee on Corporate Social Responsibility, Mr. M. A. Lodhi, Secretary General, FPCCI, Gen (R) Skinder Hayat, Former Chairman, Pakistan Steel and high profile HSE Consultants, Professional International Trainers and Engineers attended the inaugural session.

The aims/objectives of the FPCCI is to stay away from the causes which are debarring the exports from Pakistan ( recent Walt Disney about US$ 200 million per year) through fostering importance of HSE and its compliance, a dire need in Pakistan. Hence, massive country-wide efforts are required to meet at least the minimum standard to qualify for comfortable exports. The HSC Basic Course is designed to create: Awareness about HSE Issues and their solution; HSE Laws in Pakistan and Enforcing Agency Labour Directorate, Sindh; HSE Policy and Program, HSE Management and Organization; Occupational Hazards and their Control; Accident Reporting and Investigation; Electrical Safety and Preventive Methods; - Fire prevention and Fire fighting.


- ISO 14000 and ISO 18000; - Road Safety and Defensive Driving; Disaster management in workplace; Risk Management and HSE Audit and Inspection.

Environmental Laws/Compliance, in national and global respective and in the corporate sector and otherwise their impact on general population.
