Iranian woman held in abduction charges

HERAT CITY October 19, Oct 19, 2008 (Asia Pulse Data Source via COMTEX) --
Police in western Herat province informed that they arrested an Iranian woman in connection with abducting two girls and a boy.

Abdul Rauf Ahmadi, spokesman for western zone police told Pajhwok Afghan News the arrested woman named Goli

He added police arrested her in the nine police district in Herat city on Saturday afternoon.
Ahmadi said she is accused of abducting three children Mariam, Rahila and Suhailuddin who are still missing.



He said police have started interrogations from her.
According to Herat police headquarters 26 people including three foreigners have been abducted during the current year.

Recently the abduction and security incidents have increased in Herat city and in response Herat citizens and businessmen went on a protest on Saturday
