The Innovative Giving Foundation Announces First Mobile Giving Conference

LOS ANGELES --(Business Wire)--

The Innovative Giving Foundation (IGF), www.innogive.org , a 501C (3) established to provide non-profits with education and best practice solutions through mobile giving, has announced that they will provide the first ever mobile giving conference dedicated to helping non-profits understand, utilize, communicate, and raise funds through the emerging mobile giving marketplace while integrating with traditional already proven and other innovative fundraising solutions. The Innogive Conference is set to take place September 27-28, 2010 on the Malibu campus of Pepperdine University. Pepperdine School of Law's Palmer Center for Entrepreneurship and the Law, is partnering with IGF to co-sponsor this first ever conference focusing on Mobile giving, donor and prospect communication, solicitation, and retention.

The conference will focus on offering non-profits (education, faith-based, disaster and cause-related organizations) best practice tools and solutions to communicate, serve, broaden awareness, and raise financial support through mobile giving and other wireless services. The conference will bring together leaders from the carrier, wireless, technology, non-profit, and social entrepreneurship space to address the rapidly evolving mobile fundraising and communication marketplace.

Mobilecause to Sponsor Mobile Giving Conference

Mobilecause, the leading web service for mobile donor engagement and fundraising, will be a sponsor and showcased provider for the upcoming Innogive Conference. Long time mobile fundraising expert and CEO of Mobilecause, Douglas Plank, and the company's president Daniel Scalsi, both serve on the IGF Board of Directors and are heavily involved in helping charities leverage the power of mobile devices to support their cause, as well as assisting charities to navigate through carrier, CTIA (News - Alert) and MMA campaign standards.

Other non-profit industry captains involved in IGF include a list of well known philanthropists and business leaders. The IGF advisory board includes: Ken Barun, former president and CEO of Ronald McDonald House Charities Worldwide and current senior vice president of communications and development for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association; Andy Benton, president and CEO of Pepperdine University; Alan Dye, attorney at law representing non-profit organizations for Webster, Chamberlin & Bean; and Tommy Barnett, a senior pastor at Phoenix First Assembly of God, one of America's largest churches with 15,000 in weekly attendance.

The Innovative Giving foundation is pleased to also announce, Paige Hemmis of television's Extreme Home Makeover on ABC is serving as the organization's charitable giving ambassador. As ambassador, she lends her already proven commitment to helping good causes along with her celebrity to support the growing number of non-profit organizations entering into the mobile giving arena.

"Due to the tight economy, almost all non-profits are looking for new ways to increase their base of support through increasing donations, and advocates for their cause," Plank said. "By using the mobile giving channel, non-profits can access a new resource for increasing funds and awareness. The IGF is dedicated to the non-profit sector and this conference will provide a valuable opportunity for non-profits and those serving them through the mobile channel to gather and embrace new avenues for fundraising sustainability."
