InfoPro and Mount Airey Group Named Department of Homeland Security's Mentor-Protégé Team of the Year

MCLEAN, Va. --(Business Wire)--

InfoPro Incorporated and Mount Airey Group have been awarded the 2014 Mentor-Protégé Team of the Year Award by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization.

The award, for outstanding mentoring and joint achievements on DHS contracts, was presented to InfoPro President and CEO Sue Graham and Mount Airey Group President and CEO Joe Braceland at the 10th Annual DHS Small Business Ceremony, held in Washington, DC on April 15. Since 2010, the InfoPro/Mount Airey Group team has been operating as eVenture Federal Solutions, a SBA-approved 8(a) joint venture.

The DHS Mentor-Protégé Program encourages large business prime contractors to provide mutually beneficial developmental assistance to small business, veteran-owned small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business, HUBZone small business, small disadvantaged business, and women-owned small business concerns. Another program goal is to improve the performance of DHS contracts and subcontracts.

InfoPro's mentoring in the area of developmental assistance has included coaching and training on cost accounting, job costing, budgeting, and monitoring of indirect rates and contract profitability. Mount Airey Group has implemented key, required procedures such as timekeeping and business ethics training, with the support of InfoPro expertise.

InfoPro also helped broaden Mount Airey Group's capabilities through integrating Mount Airey's technical staff with InfoPro's Technical Management Office (TMO) for Customs and Border Protection's Border Enforcement Management Systems (BEMS) Program.

In 2013, eVenture Federal Solutions was awarded an Enterprise Acquisition Gateway (News - Alert) for Leading Edge Solutions II (EAGLE II) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract. InfoPro and Mount Airey Group established a joint Program Management Office to support task orders under this procurement. Also in 2013, Mount Airey Group continued to subcontract to InfoPro under the NexGen Prime contract task order and under InfoPro's GSA (News - Alert) contract with CBP to support the BEMS Division Office of Technology.

"We proudly share this honor with our partner, Mount Airey Group," said Sue Graham. "It is confirmation of InfoPro's dedication to supporting and mentoring growing companies and recognition of the talent and expertise Mount Airey Group brings to our partnership in eVenture Federal Solutions."

"Our relationship with InfoPro has been instrumental in preparing our company for growth," added Joe Braceland. "It has provided us with excellent opportunities to work with the Department of Homeland Security. It is very gratifying to receive this award as a reflection of the great strides we've made together, and continue to make, at DHS."
