IndyCar Driver Ed Carpenter to Speak at Annual Interactive Intelligence Foundation Charity Event

INDIANAPOLIS --(Business Wire)--

American IndyCar driver and team owner Ed Carpenter is joining the Interactive Intelligence Foundation for its fourth annual dinner-auction gala to raise funds for charities that foster life improvements for at-risk youth.

"The Interactive Intelligence Foundation supports some phenomenal charities with a big challenge -- to positively influence at-risk youth," Carpenter said. "These kids are the future and I look forward to speaking at this event to help support their belief in themselves and their enormous potential."

The "Dream - Believe - Inspire" themed gala, to be held Saturday, Sept. 13 at 6:30 p.m. at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown, will feature a cocktail reception, dinner, live entertainment by HT3, guest speakers, children's artwork, and silent and live auctions.

Auction items include a San Francisco wine tour, an Indy auto racing experience, a three-night PGA National Resort and Spa package, an air-to-air combat fighter experience, a Utah fly-fishing trip, a 25-person private dinner party, hot-air balloon rides, autographed sports memorabilia, and more.

All proceeds from the event will go to Foundation-supported charities, which include African Refuge, Breakhrough Greater Boston, GENaustin, Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana, Happy Hollow Children's Camp, The Julian Center, Penny Lane Centers, Quality Life Center of Southwest Florida, Saint Francis Community Services, and TRAC South Africa.

"The Foundation continues to grow, funding college scholarship programs, life-skills camps, food drives for local-area school children, and more," said Interactive Intelligence Foundation president Joe Adams (News - Alert). "The gala is a great opportunity to help us continue these efforts, while enjoying a fun night of entertainment and interaction with like-minded community members."

Early bird pricing of $75 per ticket for the Foundation dinner-auction gala is now available through Aug. 29. Tickets can be purchased online, or by calling (317) 715-8414. Dress is black-tie optional.
