Industry Veterans Davis Gammage And Michael Baker To Build Navman Wireless Business Development Efforts
GLENVIEW, Ill., Jan. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Navman Wireless, a global leader in GPS-based fleet tracking and management solutions, announced today that Davis Gammage and Michael Baker, both former senior executives at Qualcomm Wireless Business Solutions (now Qualcomm Enterprise Services), have joined the company to expand its business development program. Gammage becomes Vice President of Vertical Market Development, a new position, while Michael Baker has been named Director of Business Development and Corporate Accounts.
In their new positions, Baker and Gammage will seek to further increase Navman Wireless' global footprint in the GPS-based fleet tracking industry. Baker will focus on growing Navman's presence in the larger and corporate fleet markets; Gammage's charge is to open new business partnerships and to better position Navman in targeted vertical markets.

Over his twelve years at Qualcomm Wireless Business Solutions, Gammage held several positions of increasing responsibility, most recently as Senior Director of Program Management and Product Development, and Program Director, OmniTRACS. His prior experience included twelve years in program and product management at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) and General Dynamics Corp. Gammage holds a BA degree in International Relations and Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
Baker, in his thirteen years at Qualcomm, led a number of the sales and customer service teams during the most significant growth years of the Qualcomm Wireless Business Solutions business unit. Prior to joining Navman Wireless he was Senior Director of North American Sales, Construction Equipment. From 1992 to 1995 he was a Director of Sales for HighwayMaster, a provider of intelligent wireless mobile communications and asset tracking solutions.
Baker brings over 20 years experience in wireless and service related industries focused on commercial trucking, service vehicle and construction equipment industries.
