Industry leaders sign up for European ISV Convention 2012
Feb 14, 2012 (M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX) --
Directors of leading ISVs from around Europe have registered to attend the European ISV Convention 2012 being held at the Grand Hyatt, Berlin on 1st March 2012. More than 70 CEOs and directors from 25 countries have already confirmed their attendance, attracted by a strong line-up of speakers and sponsors announced today.
Amongst the speakers already confirmed are:
Dr. Christian Baader - Vice President Strategy & Channel Development, Outsourcing and On Demand Ecosystem, SAP AG
Chris Baker - SVP of Global ISV / OEM Sales, Oracle
Duncan Campbell - VP Marketing ESSN, HP Converged Infrastructure
Ronan Kirby - Business Development Northern EMEA, Red Hat
Dr. Wolfgang Ries - Chief Marketing Officer, Fujitsu Enabling Software Technology GmbH
These speakers and senior representatives of other leading sponsors including Actuate, and Jaspersoft, will be providing insight into how Mobility, the Cloud and Business Analytics will alter the application landscape for software developers over the coming years and what ISVs need to do to position themselves for the opportunities for accelerating growth provided by such trends.
"The European ISV Convention is the ideal opportunity for European software developers to hear about these important developments in the industry and then debate and discuss their relevance to their own businesses with some of Europe's top industry speakers," commented John Chapman, Content Director for the convention. "The particular topics we are covering this year are vitally important for ISVs. We all know about how the Cloud is changing the way applications are developed, delivered and consumed but how best does an ISV embrace the cloud to maximise the business potential?"
"When it comes to Mobility a recent report by IDC highlighted that 'European Enterprises will significantly increase investment in mobile applications over the next five years'. According to the IDC study the Western European mobile enterprise application platform market is set to grow at a compound annual growth rate of over 25% over the next five years. This is a huge business opportunity for ISVs and will be a great session to 'kick off' our event."
"Our third Open Session topic 'Beyond Business Intelligence' takes ISVs behind the buzz words of Analytics and Big Data and addresses how ISVs can really use BI tools to transform their customer's operations."
In addition to the formal conference sessions and panel discussions, ISVs will have the opportunity to attend boardroom presentations and 1:1 meetings with sponsors and to network informally with their peers.
"The European ISV Convention has a unique format, designed for the directors of Europe's ISV companies, focusing on the business aspects of building a successful software business," commented Alan Norman, Managing Director of organiser IT Europa. "The relaxed but business-like feel of the event really lends itself to developing relationships and engendering peer level discussion of ideas."
