Industry Experts Reveal Why Business Services Management is Critical to an Organization

EVERETT, Wash. --(Business Wire)-- Fluke Networks today announced it will present, in conjunction with Forrester Research and CIO Magazine, a live Webcast, "Ensuring Business Services Delivery with Better Application Performance Management," at 4:00 pm Eastern Time on Tuesday, October 7, 2008. Webcast attendees will learn how network managers and IT teams can use management of application performance to more effectively meet key business service deliverables.

The round-table format Webcast will be moderated by CIO publisher emeritus Gary Beach, a highly regarded opinion leader throughout the global technology industry and is frequently quoted by major media organizations. Beach will be joined by Glenn O'Donnell, senior analyst at Forrester Research and Scott Allen, Vice President, Product Marketing, for Fluke Networks' Performance Management business unit.

Network management teams today are not only required to deliver superior services that connect users, vendors and employees, they are also tasked with identifying, troubleshooting and resolving network-related application performance issues that impact business goals and generation of revenue. Network managers who proactively monitor the performance of applications and the networks they run on can identify possible performance weaknesses before they occur, ensuring delivery of mission-critical business services.

Examples using Fluke Networks' new Visual Performance Manager 4.0 will provide an integrated view of critical network data to show how to quickly pinpoint the root cause of network performance issues and simplify troubleshooting and reduce mean-time-to-repair (MTTR) of multi-tier applications by visibly time-correlating the transactions of the multiple tiers.
