INDIA INC.'S HIRING SPREE KEEPS HEAD HUNTERS BUSY (recruitment and staffing growth at 40-50% in Apr-Oct 2005 over Apr-Oct 2004)

(India Business Insight)Headhunters India has estimated the recruitment and staffing growth across all sectors of the Indian economy at 40-50 percent in Apr-Oct 2005 over Apr-Oct 2004.

The growth in recruitment and salaries is expected to continue till Dec 2006.

Alp Management Consultants has reported bulk recruitment in information technology and business process outsourcing sectors.

Salaries have gone up by 12-18 percent in IT and IT-enabled services sectors.

Salary difference between entry-level employees and top executives is up to 70 times. Adecco PeopleOne expects salary growth to be 15 percent in 2006. It has identified textile designing and textile manufacture as growth sectors for recruitments in 2006-2007.
