Imagination Technologies signs licensing agreement with Green Plug

Nov 12, 2009 (Datamonitor Financial Deals Tracker via COMTEX) -- Imagination Technologies Group plc and Green Plug, Inc. have entered into a co-operation agreement to deploy Imagination's META processor and related intellectual property (IP) cores in the next generation Green Plug energy management solution.



Imagination Technologies is a UK-based developer of silicon and software IP for system-on-chip (SoC) devices targeting multimedia and communication applications, while Green Plug is a US-based developer of digital technology.

Under the terms of the agreement, Green Plug will use the real-time processing capabilities of Imagination's META(TM) processor to form the basis of the next generation of Green Plug Power Processor(TM) technology for power supplies. Imagination will receive license fees and royalty revenues on SoCs incorporating Imagination's IP shipped by partners.
