The IEC and GridWise Alliance Partner for Grid ComForum 2010 in Santa Clara
CHICAGO --(Business Wire)--
The International Engineering Consortium (IEC (News - Alert)) and the GridWise Alliance today announced a memorandum of understanding to collaborate in the area of smart grid technology, beginning with the Grid ComForum this February 2-3 at the Santa Clara Convention Center.
"We are so pleased to continue the IEC's mission of catalyzing technology and business progress in the engineering and communications industry with the introduction of the Grid ComForum event and collaboration with the GridWise Alliance, an organization that represents a broad range of the energy supply chain," commented IEC President John R. Janowiak.
"The GridWise Alliance is excited that the IEC will become a strategic partner as we move smart grid forward, combining the knowledge base of the IEC membership with our smart grid ecosystem," said Katherine Hamilton, President of the GridWise Alliance.
The Alliance has been asked to speak among foremost industry voices at the Grid ComForum event. In addition, the GridWise Alliance will lead a panel on policy and regulation in the conference program, further fostering dialogue between thought leaders to achieve a more secure and reliable energy system.
