IDS to Debut Latest Mobile Apps at HIMSS 2012

Integrated Document Solutions (IDS), a pioneer in delivering healthcare information and applications via cloud computing, today announced that the company will unveil the next generation of its groundbreaking smartphone applications at the upcoming HIMSS 2012 conference (Booth 8910).

The mobile apps focus on unifying worklists and improving accessibility. Providers can wirelessly authenticate verbal orders, dictate patient encounters, remotely sign reports, and document appropriate billing levels. Digital Pen - IDS will debut a new digital handwriting application using the Anoto pen and smart forms to document patient encounter information. Digital pen and paper technology offers easy data capture and efficient transfer using a camera-embedded pen and USB docking station with Bluetooth® capabilities.

Mobile DICOM Image Viewer - Part of the AbbaDox Rad suite of workflow solutions, this mobile app streams diagnostic images with numerous viewing tools on the iPad®. Available in the iTunes App Store.

Charge Capture - This cross-platform mobile application enables hospitalists to securely record charge capture details using any tablet or smartphone. The solution applies a distributed approach, enabling physicians to quickly record charge information at the point-of-care and immediately transfer the encounter details to the billing department for claims processing.

Physician Verbal Orders - IDS created a completely electronic workflow process to authenticate physician verbal and telephone orders. Physicians instantly receive notifications of verbal orders requiring signature. They can review, reject or sign the orders on a mobile device.
