Ideabar hosts part two of digital marketing seminars [The Palm Beach Post, Fla. :: ]

(Palm Beach Post (FL) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) July 30--There are two sessions left in Ideabar's free Digital Summer Series.

The marketing consultancy of The Palm Beach Post launched a four-part seminar last month, which helps local businesses better understand digital marketing and how to position for the future.

Part two of the series was Wednesday with 70 people from 56 businesses in attendance. Digital marketing experts from Ideabar and Cox Media Group led lectures on search engine marketing, digital display, ads and mobile networks.

The goal was to show business leaders how to reach the right audience and drive traffic to their sites.

Speakers included Ideabar's digital media specialist, Alexandra Guth, and Cox Media Group's director of search engine marketing, Zuri Stanback, who explained the power of blended digital and traditional campaigns and how to target a region with smartphones.

"If you're not on mobile, you're missing out on a lot of opportunities," Standback said to the crowd.

After the lecture, experts met one-on-one with attendees at topic tables.

Specialists stood at tables divided into subject areas like mobile, display and outreach, where they answered questions on how these strategies can be specifically applied.

Carleen Burns is the owner of a lawn maintenance company called Images Lawn. He attended Wednesday's seminar to learn more mobile marketing.

"I learned a lot," Burns said. "I'm definitely coming back to the next one. I'm already signed up." The final two seminars will be Aug. 27, and Sept. 17 at The Palm Beach Post. To register, visit http://learn.ideabarmedia.com/DSS.
