IBM wins outsourcing contract from Kotak Bank

IBM has won a $5m IT services contract from Indian banking and financial services firm Kotak Mahindra to provide infrastructure services.
IBM will design, build, and maintain a scalable green data center as well as a converged IP network infrastructure. It will also deploy a switching technology and IP convergence for 3,000 users to provide Kotak with a consolidated data center and network infrastructure.
Nipun Mehrotra, vice president and general manager of global technology services at IBM India, said: "IBM is committed to helping clients bring greater efficiency in their operations by deploying solutions that can highly optimize their IT and hence reduce costs. IBM has a unique value proposition to offer to clients in these difficult times and we are excited about this partnership with Kotak Mahindra Bank."
