Guidance Software, Inc. Names Grant E. Johnson Vice President of Marketing
PASADENA, Calif. --(Business Wire)-- Guidance Software Inc. (NASDAQ:GUID), the World Leader in Digital Investigations(TM), today announced that Grant Johnson has joined the company as Vice President of Marketing. In this role, Johnson assumes worldwide responsibility for marketing strategy and execution and will oversee corporate marketing, product marketing, marketing programs, demand generation, sales support, marketing communications, analyst and public relations, market research and online strategy.
"Grant is a high-technology veteran who brings a wealth of expertise to Guidance Software," said Victor Limongelli, President and CEO of Guidance Software. "He has a strong understanding of enterprise software marketing and go-to-market strategies, as well as the leadership, vision and entrepreneurial experience we need to build on the company's established strengths in the eDiscovery and computer investigations markets."
Previously, Johnson was a Vice President of Marketing and an officer at FileNet, a $400 million enterprise software vendor acquired by IBM (NYSE: IBM) in 2006. While at FileNet, Johnson led corporate marketing, demand generation and communications initiatives, significantly increasing the company's market leadership profile.
Prior to that position, Johnson was Vice President of Marketing for FrontBridge, a subscription-based email management vendor acquired by Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT), where he led the company's repositioning and re-launch, built the marketing team and delivered integrated marketing programs to support significant and sustained revenue growth. He was also a Director of Marketing for Symantec (NASDAQ: SYMC) with worldwide responsibility for the Norton brand and Senior Vice President of Marketing at Ethentica, an enterprise security vendor.
Johnson has published several articles and co-authored the book, PowerBranding(TM). He received his B.A. from UC Santa Barbara and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
