Gregg Schwotzer, CEO of Crossgates Inc., dies [Central Penn Business Journal (PA)]


(Central Penn Business Journal (PA) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Gregg Schwotzer, president and CEO of Washington County-based Crossgates Inc., died Friday at the age of 65.

Known more today in Central Pennsylvania for its commercial property management services, Crossgates help develop the TecPort Business Center in Swatara Township.

The 102-acre business park is home to a variety of office, retail, hospitality and restaurant tenants, including Metro Bank, which has its headquarters there.

Schwotzer joined Crossgates in 1972. The privately held real estate development and construction company was founded by his father, Arthur, in 1958.

He first assumed responsibility for the property management division, then started the commercial and industrial development and management divisions. He also founded the Central Pennsylvania office.



He was appointed president of the company in 1993 and CEO in 2003.

A funeral service will be held in Westminster Presbyterian Church in Upper St. Clair on Tuesday at 10:30 am. There will be a private interment. Beinhauer Family Funeral Homes and Cremation Services is handling funeral arrangements.
