Greenplum Announces Data Warehouse Solution on EMC(R) CLARiiON(R)

Greenplum, a leading provider of database software for the next generation of data warehousing and analytics, today announced a data warehouse solution based on Greenplum Database (http://www.greenplum.com/products) and EMC(R) CLARiiON(R) (http://www.emc.com/products/family/clariion-family.htm) networked storage systems. The solution greatly increases performance and scalability of large-scale data warehouse systems.
Greenplum highlights the solution within the EMC Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence Competency Center. The solution provides an optimized storage area network (SAN) that addresses emerging challenges related to data warehouse and business intelligence deployments. By leveraging data center standards, Greenplum offers a much more cost-effective data warehouse solution compared to proprietary and costly appliances.
