Grandstream's New Series of Small Business IP Phones Interoperable with BroadSoft


Grandstream Networks, today announced interoperability of Grandstream's GXP1600 series of Small Business IP phones, consisting of four models, with BroadSoft's (News - Alert) BroadWorks® platform and other SIP-based services. This announcement gives BroadSoft customers a new set of powerful IP phones from Grandstream that can seamlessly leverage the BroadWorks platform and other SIP services from BroadSoft.

The GXP1600 series, consisting of the GXP1610, GXP1620, GXP1625 and GXP1628, showcase a new hardware design, improved appearance and build quality, larger graphic LCD display and enhanced acoustic performance. These robust IP phones are extremely easy to use yet include a collection of powerful telephony features - making them ideal for small business users. Each phone has 3 XML programmable soft keys, 3-way conferencing, Electronic Hook Switch (EHS) support for Plantronics headsets, support for 20 languages, full-duplex speakerphones with advanced acoustic echo cancellation, dedicated buttons for intercom/paging and call recording and a large phonebook with up to 500 contacts and call history with up to 200 records. The GXP1625 and GXP1628 include built-in Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) while the GXP1628 also features Gigabit ports and 8 BLF/speed dial keys.

BroadWorks is BroadSoft's flagship pplications platform that enables service providers to deliver enhanced multimedia services for businesses and consumers. As a leading Application Server for IP-Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) environments, BroadWorks services are network agnostic, offering carriers expanded service reach, fixed-mobile convergence (FMC), streamlined application integration, and operational cost savings. With an extensive range of features, BroadWorks enables carriers to offer a differentiated set of communication services that range from media-oriented services, such as: Voice Messaging, Conferencing, and Auto Attendant, to personal calling functions such as Selective Call Forwarding, Simultaneous Ringing, and dial-by-name.

The GXP1600 series joins numerous additional Grandstream IP phones that have successfully completed interoperability testing with BroadSoft, including the GXV3240 and GXV3275 IP Video Phones for Android (News - Alert) and the GXP2130, GXP2140 and GXP2160 color-screen Enterprise IP phones. BroadSoft customers can easily deploy and quickly provision these nine award-winning IP phones to take advantage of BroadSoft's BroadWorks. The GXV3240, GXV3275, GXP2130, GXP2140 and GXP2160 are also UC- enabled. UC-One offers a full UC experience that enhances productivity for the increasingly mobile workforce by making voice, video, business directories, call logs and instant messaging and presence available on a single application.
