Grandstream Expands IP Phone Portfolio with New Line of SMB Models


Grandstream Networks, the leading manufacturer of IP voice/video telephony and video surveillance solutions, today unveiled its new competitive GXP16xx series of single and two-line desktop IP phones for small to medium-sized business (SMB) and small office/home office (SOHO) customers. Comprised of three function rich yet affordable models, the GXP1625, GXP1620 and GXP1610 feature a new LCD display, new modern hardware design with improved audio quality, enhanced telephony capabilities and full interoperability with a broad range of leading IP Telephony platforms (such as Broadsoft, Metaswitch, Asterisk/Elastix, etc.) and Internet Telephony (News - Alert) Service Provider (ITSP) networks for easy mass deployment.

GXP16xx Series of IP Phone (News - Alert) Feature Highlights
All three new GXP16xx business IP phones are Linux-based models featuring 3 XML programmable soft keys, 3-way conferencing, Electronic Hook Switch (EHS) support for Plantronics (News - Alert) headsets, dual switched 10/100 Mbps ports, support for 20 languages, full duplex speakerphone with advanced acoustic echocancellation, dedicated buttons for intercom/paging and call recording when used with IP PBX systems that support call recording (such as the Grandstream UCM6xxx series), personalized music ring tone/ring back tone, integration with advanced Web/enterprise applications, and a large phonebook with up to 500 contacts and call history with up to 200 records, etc. Specific model features include:



  • GXP1625/GXP1620 - 2 line keys with dual-color LED, 2 SIP accounts, up to 2 call appearances, 132x48 backlit LCD screen and HD audio. The GXP1625 model adds integrated PoE.
  • GXP1610 - 1 SIP account, 2 call appearances and a 132x48 LCD screen.

The new GXP16xx small business IP phones complement the same sleek hardware design of Grandstream's popular enterprise IP phones, the GXP2100 series. Additionally, businesses using Grandstream's UCM6xxx series IP PBX appliance will enjoy the zero-configuration secure provisioning of all GXP series IP Phones for no hassle, plug-n-play set-up as well as 1-touch recording and more.
