Governor Rauner Proclaims Jan. 21-27 "Illinois School Choice Week"; Joins Leaders Nationwide in Celebrating Opportunity in EducationIllinois School Choice Week will take place Jan. 21-27, and Gov. Rauner has issued a proclamation making it official. Dozens of other governors and more than 500 city and county leaders nationwide have issued similar proclamations. Illinoisans have planned more than 1,000 events, including rallies, roundtable discussions, coffeehouse meet-ups, festivals, and school fairs, to celebrate and raise awareness about educational opportunity during National School Choice Week. The events in Illinois are a part of the more than 32,000 events taking place nationwide.
