Gov. Perry Appoints Swinney and Williams-Briley to Manufactured Housing Board


(Targeted News Service Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 15 -- Gov. Rick Perry, R-Texas, announced the following appointment: Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Brenda Swinney of Paige and Myeshi Williams-Briley of Spring to the Manufactured Housing Board. The board regulates the state's manufactured housing industry.



Swinney is owner and trustee of Son Dau Trust in Bastrop County. She is a member of and volunteer for Texas Alliance for Life, board member of the Bastrop Pregnancy Resource Center, a member of the OneStar Foundation and a past member of Altrusa International Inc. Swinney is appointed to the board for a term to expire Jan. 31, 2017.

Williams-Briley is president of the Spring-Klein Chamber of Commerce, community liaison for the City of Houston Coast2Coast Rx Card Program, and CEO of the Education, Support, Help and Intervention Therapy Center in Houston. She is a volunteer speaker on epilepsy and neurological disorder issues, a board member of A Heart Like Hers Foundation, president and chairman of the Pillars Innan Board of Directors, and chairman of the From Pain to Pearl Campaign Board of Directors. She is also a past member of the Barbara Jordan Ambassador Program Health Communication and Media Partnership, past Health and Wellness coordinator at Fallbrook Church and a past board member of the Rotary Club of Houston Northwest Sunset. Williams-Briley received a bachelor's degree from the University of Phoenix and a master's degree in human services from Springfield College. She is appointed to the board for a term to expire Jan. 31, 2019.
