Go Daddy's Danica Patrick Revved Up for Darlington

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. --(Business Wire)--

After an eventful weekend at Talladega in the Nationwide Series, Go Daddy's Danica Patrick is ready to take on a new challenge at Darlington Raceway. Go Daddy, the world's largest provider of Web hosting, domain name registrations and new SSL Certificates, is putting the "GO" in Saturday's Southern 500 NASCAR Sprint (News - Alert) Cup race as the broadcast sponsor on FOX TV.

Danica will be facing two races at Darlington on the heels of all the excitement at Talladega. She finished 13th at Talladega and has moved up into the 11th position in the Nationwide point standings. She led in Lap 78, becoming the second woman ever to lead a NASCAR race at Talladega. Now, she's ready to earn her stripes at Darlington Raceway, one of the toughest tracks on the schedule, known as "The Track Too Tough to Tame" and "The Lady in Black."

"The Darlington track is new territory for me, but aftr the solid run in Talladega, I'm looking forward to getting back on the race track in the GoDaddy.com Chevrolets," said Danica Patrick. "I've got a great team and the long-time support of Go Daddy."

Tomorrow, Danica will be driving the No. 7 GoDaddy.com Chevrolet for JR Motorsports in the Nationwide race. Saturday, in the Sprint Cup race, she'll be behind the wheel of the No. 10 GoDaddy.com Chevrolet after debuting earlier this year at Daytona 500. Go Daddy is the broadcast sponsor for Saturday's Southern 500 - Danica's second-ever Sprint Cup race. Danica will become only the third woman to compete in a Sprint Cup Series race at Darlington.

"Darlington is known for challenging some of the savviest NASCAR drivers," said Go Daddy Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President Barb Rechterman. "Danica is tough and revved up for Darlington. Go Daddy will be cheering her on as she tackles this historic race track."
