The Globe and Mail named National Print Media Supplier of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games

VANCOUVER, May 2 /CNW/ - The Globe and Mail announced today that it has been named the Official National Newspaper by the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC). Officials from The Globe and Mail and VANOC celebrated the news with Globe employees at the paper's Vancouver office.
As National Print Media Supplier, The Globe and Mail, including www.globeandmail.com, will have exclusive rights in the national newspaper publisher category for the 2010 Winter Games. The partnership also provides The Globe and Mail with sponsorship rights for the Canadian Olympic Team for the Beijing 2008, Vancouver 2010 and London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The Globe and Mail will provide VANOC with enhanced national advertising abilities through value-in-kind allocation of print and online features related to the 2010 Winter Games.
