Genesis Microchip to Present at Thomas Weisel Partners Technology Conference

SAN JOSE, Calif. --(Business Wire)-- Jan. 30, 2006 -- Genesis(R) Microchip Inc. (Nasdaq:GNSS), a world leader in the development of image processing technologies for flat-panel TVs, monitors and other consumer display products, today announced that Chief Financial Officer, Michael Healy, will present to investors at the Thomas Weisel Partners Technology Conference on February 6, 2006 at 2:05 p.m. PST (5:05 p.m. EST). The conference will be held at The Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco, California.



The presentation will be available live and, subsequently, on demand via the Internet at http://www.gnss.com/inv_ir_events.phtml. Investors should visit the site at least 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the scheduled presentation to register, download and install any necessary multimedia streaming software.
